Health and social care organisations in Derbyshire have been working closely together for some time, to improve care and services for people and make them as efficient and effective as possible.
The latest NHS England statistics show Joined Up Care Derbyshire now has the fifth highest Covid-19 vaccination rate in the country, with nearly 66% of people aged 16 or older now having received at least one dose.
The rest of the top five is composed of predominantly rural systems, with Dorset leading the country with a rate of nearly 70%. They are followed by second-paced Somerset, with Lincolnshire third, and Norfolk & Waveney fourth.
JUCD has now administered first doses to 554,220 people, the third highest number in the midlands, behind Black Country & W Birmingham and Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent.
Although the focus is now moving to vaccinating people aged 45 and over, Mid Derbyshire is the leading constituency for uptake for people aged 50 or over, having administered a first dose to nearly 94.4%. Derbyshire Dales, South Derbyshire and North East Derbyshire are all also now above 90%.
