We are also now accepting applications for a new programme from the NHSE/I Regional Nursing Professional Standards team, Midlands Lifelong Leadership Academy Midlands and the CNO BAME delivery group

This programme is for BAME nursing and midwifery staff who are aspiring to be in a senior nursing/midwifery leadership role

The programme is targeted at individuals who demonstrate and fulfil the following criteria:

·       From a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background

·       Working at band 6 – 8A (with extensive experience if at band 6)

·       NMC registered

·       Mandatory training up to date

·       Evidence of continuing professional development

·       Have a track record of demonstrable leadership and ambition

·       Have robust written, verbal and IT communication skills

The programme will commence in June 2021 for 12 months and will combine current elements of the Mary Seacole programme from the NHS Leadership Academy with nursing and midwifery specific activities including coaching, mentoring, financial management, action learning sets, executive sponsorship, a support network, system management, a leadership stretch assignment, self-reflection and talent management such as interview skills and supporting statement preparation.
