Community clinics play a vital role in carrying out blood tests, which can help to monitor your health or diagnose illnesses and infections. They are an essential part of our NHS.
You can help them to work smoothly by supporting our NHS staff, using the guidance below. Please help us to help you.
Blood Forms
Please bring your printed blood request form in paper format. Your test cannot be performed without it, so you will be turned away. Blood clinics are unable to accept details on mobile phones and patient letters.
Walk-in appointments
These appointments are for urgent blood requests only, which means they are needed within 48 hours.
They are also available for people who are unable to book via Swiftqueue.
Pre-bookable appointments
Where possible, all appointments should be made via Swiftqueue.
Blood Tests required for future appointment
If you need your blood test results for a medical review/appointment, please plan ahead and book your blood test at least 48 hours before your appointment. It can take up to 48 hours for your blood tests to become available for clinical review.
Be Kind
Our NHS staff are working very hard to support your medical care, so please remember to be kind and respectful. These people are doing their best to provide the service you need. Any kind of abuse is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Small acts of kindness, can make a positive impact on someone’s day, and help staff feel valued and positive about the difference they are making to people’s lives.
