Derbyshire Infrastructure Organisations

In Derbyshire, there are special groups known as infrastructure organisations. Think of them as helper centres for community groups and charities. These centres are sometimes called CVSs (Council for Voluntary Services), Community Action, or volunteer centres. They support local charities, community groups, and social enterprises by offering guidance, support, and resources. This assistance enables these groups to do wonderful things in their community, like bringing people together and strengthening community ties.

Here are some key goals that these helper centres in Derbyshire are focusing on:

  • Sector Support – They ensure they remain connected with local groups and help people discover what’s happening in their community.
  • Build Sector Capacity – They assist charity and community groups to grow and increase their positive impact.
  • VCSE Volunteer Support – They create more opportunities for people to start volunteering, making it easy for everyone to contribute to their community.
  • Strategic Support – They ensure that these volunteer groups can share their ideas and participate in the decision-making processes of local leaders.
  • Effective Information and Collaboration – They help different groups work well together and share vital information.

These organisations make sure that everyone’s voice is heard and that they can contribute to making Derbyshire a better place.
