The COVID-19 vaccination is available to all adults over 18 years old in the UK. In line with improving vaccination uptake among members of our community who are vaccine hesitant and areas with low uptake coinciding with high infection rates, we have compiled campaign imagery for you or your organisation to share with your network to shift perceptions and attitudes towards the vaccine.

This campaign follows the national #WhatItMeansToMe campaign, showcasing the reasons why people received their vaccination with the aim that those who are vaccine hesitant and share similar demographics may re-consider getting their vaccination by reflecting upon what their own reasons might be. We encourage local authorities, community and NHS organisations to utilise these assets in their social media campaigns so we collectively target those who remain vaccine hesitant, particularly in deprived and low uptake communities:

  • BAME community
  • White working class
  • Men over 30
  • Young people

We captured the views and profiles of people from all over Derbyshire and why they got their vaccination - Please share their stories and reasons with your network as we approach the end of first dose vaccinations available to the public.

We would also like to encourage our stakeholders and partners to encourage their staff and network to share their own reasons for getting vaccinated and share this on social media tagging NHS Derby and Derbyshire CCG with the hashtag #WhatItMeansToMe with the aim of encouraging hesitant friends and families in their own social circle.
