Executive Director of Outcomes (Medical)

Dave is a qualified GP who worked as a GP Principal with an interest in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) speciality before becoming the Accountable Officer for the East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group. Dave then took a role at East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group as the system lead for both Urgent and Emergency care as well as for the Better Care Together System Programme. This programme aimed to positively transform health and social care services by integrating them and making them more sustainable. 

In more recent years, Dave has continued to practice clinically, supporting local emergency department teams and has been the Medical Director for Professional Standards and System Improvement at NHS England and NHS Improvement Midlands. Now the Director of Outcomes, incorporating medical director responsibility for the cluster of ICBs, Dave continues to prioritise leading and supporting clinical improvements and outcomes for the people of the Midlands.
