Making Safeguarding Personal relates to the wellbeing theme that runs through the Care Act (2014) it’s about ensuring the adult is listened to and given the opportunity to be involved in the outcome of a safeguarding referral. Dr Adi Cooper OBE, lead for MSP with the Local Government Association and an Independent Chair for one of the Safeguarding Adults Board in London spoke to Ed Ronayne (NHS Derby & Derbyshire CCG) about Making Safeguarding Personal explaining how it came about and what it is in this first of two podcasts on MSP.
