We are currently entering the implementation stage for Virtual Wards across Derbyshire providers. It is planned virtual wards will commence in December this year. Therefore most of the questions below are not applicable.
We are currently engaged in a procurement process for the digital enablement and therefore at this stage unable to confirm what the software will be and the values and duration of the contract.
We would like to get the following data on the contracts your ICB has with independent providers:
1. Do you use virtual wards in your trusts? (Y/N)
No.
2. If you are not currently using virtual wards, are you planning on using them in the future?
Yes.
3. How many virtual ward beds do you have?
Not applicable at this stage.
4. Can you please specify how many virtual wards you have by speciality (respiratory care, cardiology care, diabetes care, stroke care, renal care, pre/post operative care services, other)?
Not applicable at this stage.
5. How many patients have been admitted in virtual wards in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022?
