The Derby and Derbyshire Emotional Health & Wellbeing Website provides support and signposting of local services.

Kooth

Kooth is a free online Mental Health and Wellbeing resource for children and young people in Derby and Derbyshire.

No referral is needed. Simply set up an account and you’re good to go.

It is available 365 days of the year via mobile, tablet and desktop devices from 12 noon to 10pm Monday-Friday and 6pm-10pm at weekends.

The service provides access to accredited counselling support, peer support via online forums and relevant articles detailing a variety of topics.  

Compass Changing Lives – Derbyshire

If you are a child or young person, you may sometimes feel sad, scared or worried. Maybe you are getting angry or frustrated. We can help you get the right support.

  • Get free and confidential support, if you have mild to moderate emotional health and wellbeing needs
  • We are a compassionate and friendly team, here to help support your mental health.

Mental Health Support Line 

The Derby and Derbyshire NHS mental health support line 0800 028 0077 runs 24 hours, seven days a week.

Alternatively call NHS 111 and ask for mental health.

The line is run by experienced mental health professionals who will

  • provide mental health support and advice
  • support for people experiencing immediate distress
  • support their families or carers
  • provide a professional point of contact for health and social care partners to support any individuals in mental distress.
