Health and care staff from across Joined Up Care Derbyshire invited to visit Virtual Ward Hub at Chesterfield Royal Hospital
Health and care staff from across Joined Up Care Derbyshire were invited to visit the Virtual Ward Hub at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on Wednesday 18th, October.
The drop-in session provided an opportunity for staff to meet the teams working in the frailty, cardiology, respiratory and diagnostics virtual wards.
All attendees were given a tour of the facilities in the Virtual Ward Hub – the first of its kind locally – where Chesterfield colleagues were on hand to talk about the work they do and how the Hub operates, share learning and answer any questions people had.
There was also an opportunity to network and chat about the opportunities virtual wards provide for collaboration between those providing health and care across Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
Catherine Bainbridge, Head of Urgent Care at NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board, said: ”It’s been good for us all to see how this full-time service fits together, and I think that it is something that we can replicate across the Derbyshire system. Some of the next steps are to find out how this interlinks with some of the other services we have so that we can enable those referrals seamlessly”.
