NHS 10-year plan: local events to have your say

NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is hosting a series of face-to-face and online workshops throughout January and February.

We will be providing patients, their families, and the wider public an opportunity to share their experiences, ideas, and hopes for the NHS.

The Department of Health and Social Care has launched a period of engagement to inform the 10-year Plan. The plan will set out how we will deliver an NHS fit for the future, designed to meet the changing needs of our population.

The plan will be published in spring 2025 and will be underpinned by three key themes:

  • hospital to community
  • analogue to digital
  • sickness to prevention

We’ve been listening to your views of local health services and what helps keep people healthy.

Before we share these insights with NHS England for the 10-year Health Plan, we’d like to check in with local people and communities. We want to ensure we’ve understood what they’ve shared and ask further questions to develop these areas.

Local workshops will help us get feedback to improve local strategies and NHS systems. This will help shape the future of healthcare in our region.

These workshops aim to gather your views. They will help improve healthcare delivery now and in the long term.

We encourage you to share your views in the coming days and weeks. We will work with partners to align our future plans with the priorities of our local population.

  • To hear some of the key insights and feedback already given about the three themes from local people.
  • Hear what’s happening on a local level around the three areas
  • Take part in Engagement activities
  • Understand what will happen next with your feedback and how to keep updated
