Please call 111 if you suspect Monkeypox symptoms
Anyone who has suspected symptoms of Monkeypox should contact 111 to discuss testing, and should not visit any other healthcare setting.
This is very important because specialist cleaning may to be carried out to ensure patient and staff safety if cases are confirmed in some settings, such as urgent treatment centres or GP practices. This can cause delays in treatment for other patients.
Staff running the 111 service will direct anyone who needs testing to an appropriate testing venue, depending on the age of the patient.
Latest figures from the UK Health Security Agency (HSA) show 29 confirmed cases in the East Midlands.
More information on Monkeypox is available on the NHS England website.
