Health and social care organisations in Derbyshire have been working closely together for some time, to improve care and services for people and make them as efficient and effective as possible.
Diabetes Week aims to raise awareness about #TheBigPicture of living with diabetes and raise funds to support vital research.
This year the focus is the bigger picture of living with diabetes and spotlighting the triumphs, victories and setbacks. There are 4.8m people in the UK that live with diabetes and there is a new diagnosis every 2 minutes. Those living with diabetes are more likely to struggle with their psychological and mental health which is why we want to spotlight #TheBigPicture and share people’s experiences.
Follow Diabetes UK to read about people’s stories about living with diabetes. You can also share your own experience so others can have an insight into the reality of the condition.
