Free Resource from Derby Libraries Promotes Wellbeing

Reading has many proven benefits and can be an excellent way to promote wellbeing, helping you to relax and reduce stress, whilst also helping to improve concentration and memory, increase knowledge, and develop imagination and creativity.

Derby Libraries is offering two new FREE apps which allow members complete access to their eLibrary service, making a variety of reading materials more accessible and encouraging people to read more.

The two new apps, Borrowbox and Libby, make it easy to browse the library’s digital catalogue of books, from classics to best sellers, and enables members to borrow, read or listen to the library’s collection of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers anywhere for free.

Borrowbox and Libby can be downloaded through Apple, Google or Amazon Playstore:

With such a wealth of materials only a few taps away, these apps are an incredible resource for our colleagues  and families to benefit from.

To take advantage of Derby Libraries’ eLibrary service, you will need a library card, available to members.

You can join Derby Libraries if you live, work or study in Derby or Derbyshire.
