Hot weather prompts yellow alert for Derby and Derbyshire this weekend – help keep vulnerable people safe
The UK Health Security Agency has issued a Yellow Heat-Health Alert across the East Midlands, including Derby and Derbyshire, from this Friday (9 June) with temperatures remaining high through the weekend.
Junior doctors’ industrial action: Wednesday 14 June to Saturday 17 June
Junior doctors who are members of the British Medical Association (BMA) and Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association (HCSA) have voted to take industrial action at NHS Trusts across England, including Trusts serving Derby and Derbyshire.
The next round of industrial action will take place from 7am on Wednesday 14 June to 7am on Saturday 17 June. During this time, junior doctors in Derbyshire will have the opportunity and personal choice to go on strike for all or some of the time.
