Winter Wellness

As we enter the festive season, we recognise that it can be a busy and stressful time for many of our JUCD colleagues.

During busy times it is important to look after yourselves. Your Wellbeing team has a wealth of wellbeing support available to help keep our colleagues healthy, safe and well over the coming weeks.

 

To support with healthy eating and drinking over the festive period we have the following online support sessions:

Hydration for Health Workshop – learn how to keep hydrated, the benefits of proper hydration and the symptoms of dehydration. Thursday 30th November 1.30pm – 2pm

Alcohol – Reducing Harms related to Alcohol Consumption – learn about the effects of alcohol consumption and the support options available for those who drink and others who may be affected. Tuesday 12th December 12pm – 12.30pm

Weight Management Group – monthly sessions featuring different topics to help you manage and maintain a healthy weight. This month we’re looking at the sugar content in popular snacks and healthier alternatives. Monday 18th December 2pm – 2.30pm

 

To support colleagues’ mental wellbeing, we have the following online support groups, workshops, and training sessions available:

Sleep Workshop – learn useful ways to promote healthy sleeping patterns. Friday 1st December 1pm – 2pm

Suicide Awareness Training – understand the wider impact of bereavement on those exposed to or affected by suicide. Tuesday 5th December 10am – 11am

Negative Thinking Patterns Workshop – learn how to replace common negative thinking patterns with more positive habits. Monday 11th December 12pm – 12.45pm

Winter Wellness – join us for a webinar packed with useful information to boost your wellbeing, helping you stay healthy during the Winter season. Wednesday 13th December 11.30am – 12.30pm

Remote Workers Support Network – meet new colleagues, chat and share tips and advice on remote working to ensure you feel supported by peers and your wellbeing team. Wednesday 13th December 12.30pm – 1pm

Wellbeing Conversations Training – learn how to have supportive wellbeing conversations with your colleagues and safely signposting them to additional services when needed. Thursday 14th December 9.30am – 12pm

Headache Soothing Techniques – learn helpful ways to soothe headaches with small lifestyle changes and gentle techniques. Tuesday 19th December 4pm – 4.45pm

Mental Health First Aiders: Meet & Support – an online information, support, and guidance session for Mental Health First Aiders, or those wishing to become one. Thursday 21st December 12pm – 12.30pm

Bereavement Support Group – a supportive space to talk with colleagues who are feeling the impact of bereavement. Wednesday 27th December 2.30pm – 4pm

Pit Stop Men’s Mental Health Hub – weekly online Men’s Health group offering a confidential and supportive environment for colleagues to meet and chat. Mondays 12pm – 12.45pm

Doctors in Distress – weekly online support group delivered by Doctors in Distress, a confidential space for colleagues to talk openly about challenges and share experiences. Wednesdays 12.30pm – 1.30pm

 

Our sessions are available to support our JUCD Health and Social Care colleagues and can be accessed FREE of charge via the teams easy to use online booking platform
